The Egyptian soccer team won their 6th Africa Cup of Nations title after defeating Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 1-0 in the final of the prestigious African tournament that wrapped up in Ghana.

Our national team achieved this tournament by virtue of President Mubarak's sponsorship for all the sportsmen. The Pharaohs proved their mettle and tamed the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon proving that our team is the best team in the continent.

Congratulations to every Egyptian for winning the African Cup of Nations. President Hosni Mubarak received the Egyptian soccer squad and gave the team a hero's welcome going to the Cairo International Airport to be the first to receive the champions. President Mubarak hailed the players and their coach Hassan Shehata, who went down in history as the first coach to win two African titles in a row.
