President Hosni Mubarak congratulates Egypt's soccer team for sweeping 4/2 over Cameroon in Ghana

The Chief of the Egyptian mission in Ghana announced that President Hosni Mubarak congratulated Egypt's soccer team after they secured a sweeping 4/2 win over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations currently hosted in Ghana.

Champions of Egypt began their defence of their title with a stunning show as they defeated Cameroon 4-2 in the opener game of Group C in Africa Cup of Nations, held currently in Ghana.

The Pharaohs, record five-time African champions, have the best beginning possible, ending the first 20 minutes with two goals lead.

Ismaili's midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabu scored from the spot in the 14th minute after Cameroon's defender Andre Bikey handled in the area.

In the 17th minute into the game, Hamburger's striker Mohamed Zidan rubbed salt into the wound of the Indomitable Lions when he scored the second after being sent clear on goal by Ahly's Emad Motaeb's pass.

Zidan scored his second and Egypt's third with a bullet from a distance that went past Idriss Kameni.

Barcelona's superstar Samuel Eto'o pulled one back for Cameroon - four-time champions - when he scored with a header in the 6th minute into the second half.

Yet, the Pharaohs stroke back as Hosni Abd-Rabu scored Egypt's fourth in the 82nd minute, dashing the hope of any Cameroon comeback to the game.
