President Hosni Mubarak on Wednesday reassured of the Egyptian football mission in Ghana during a phone call with the mission's head. Coach Hassan Shehata told reporters that President Mubarak praised the Egyptian team's performance during the opener game of Group C of Africa Cup of Nations against Cameroon.
The Pharaohs defeated Cameroon 4-2 in their opener. President Mubarak urged the team to continue to exert more efforts for the finals.
The National team players expressed their gratitude for Mubarak's attention paid to the team describing it as a motive for more success.
International media praised the performance of Egypt's national team. Today, Morocco meets Namibia in group B of Africa Cup of Nations.
