The Higher Organizing Committee of Africa Cup of Nations 2006 said that opening ceremony is to last for 45 minutes based on instructions of the CAF, as Cairo Stadium will witness the opening match of Egypt vs. Libya. Ministry of Youth extended an invitation to FIFA President Sepp Blatter to attend the opening match.

On the other hand, propaganda campaign of the ACN is to kick off in the coming days under the sponsorship of the ministries of Youth, Oil and Tourism. Arab Industrialization Authority will make 7000 flags to be distributed on the cities hosting the tournament.
