Minister of Trade and Industry Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed and Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao will open on Saturday7/11/2009 the
third session of a China-Africa business forum to be hosted by Egypt on November 7-8.
The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) will be held in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El Sheikh with the participation of ministers of trade, industry and international cooperation of African states along with the Chinese trade minister.
Taking part in the event also will be representatives of 1,000 Egyptian, Chinese and African firms with a view to opening up new vistas of economic cooperation between Africa and China.
The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) offers a great chance for
African companies, particularly Egyptian firms, to establish joint ventures with China, Minister Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed said.
The Chinese government is deeply interested in enhancing economic cooperation with Africa, he said.
Egypt hosts the event in view of its key role in the African continent to realize economic and social development and improve people's standards of living, he said.
