The governmental committee in charge of outlining a report of a periodical comprehensive review of human rights in Egypt convened in Cairo Wednesday 4/11/2009 under Minister of Legal Affairs and Parliamentary Councils Mufid Shehab to examine the final draft report on the status of human Rights in Egypt that will be referred to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) this month.

UNHRC will discuss the report in February 2010.

Shehab, in statements following the meeting, said that the committee has already held 20 meetings to discuss the report.
