Saudi Shura Council Speaker Abdullah al-Sheikh left Cairo on Friday 6/11/2009 morning winding up a five-day visit to Egypt during which he met with President Hosni Mubarak.

During the visit, he had talks with Premier Ahmed Nazif, Grand Imam of al-Azhar Sheikh Mohamed Sayyed Tantawi, Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa and other senior officials.

He also discussed with Shura Council Speaker Safwat el-Sherif, means of promoting joint parliamentary cooperation.

During the visit, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on promoting cooperation and coordination via exchanging consultations and studies.
