This is the most southerly of the Tiran coral reefs. The Lovilla cargo ship went around in 1981 on the north westerly edge of the reef, despite the lighthouse situated on the western side.
The moorings are located at the south side. A coral garden sits at a 6-8 meter depth and gently slopes to the south, away from the reef, to form a large plateau. The most popular dive is to the drop-off on the east side of the reef, which is the most scenic. Metal containers can be seen at a depth range of 12-20 meters.
To the north of the containers is another sandy patch - home to a colony of garden eels. To the south of the reef, where the plateau extends 50 meters, there is a sandy patch in mid-plateau known as The Amphitheatre Gordon Reef is a good afternoon dive due to the shallow depths. Look to the deeper water for passing eagle rays and white-tip reef sharks.
