Ras Umm Sid is a favorite with the local dive guides, and a classic snorkeling location. There is easy access to this site from the land for shore and night diving. Ras Umm Sid is 7km south from Na'ama Bay and close to Sharm-el-Moya, home to the many dive boats which serve the area daily.

    The live-aboard vessels also moor and depart for safaris from here. When diving from the shore, snorkeling over the reef is possible at high tide. Enter the hole just before the reef edge and exit at 5 meters. The dive itself features many Gorgonian fan corals and brain corals, perfect for photography. In the shallows, there is ample small marine life close to the reef. A dive center and restaurant are located here also.
