The location in the southern part of the large open bay . below Ras Umm Sid makes this a good introduction site . to the Red Sea. It is sheltered, free from currents and relatively shallow. Temple has an array of coral heads standing on a sand bottom. Two of these coral heads stand . at a depth of 12 and 16m - the larger of the two, just below . the surface, is cracked and split in two.

Photography .opportunities are good, with lots of color and marine life. Parrot fish, Butterfly fish and Lion fish inhabit the site. A large Napoleon wrasse is usually present as well. Temple is good for night dives, being a short sail from Sharm-EI-Moya. It can also be dived from the shore but is a long surface swim. Looking to the south, the headland of Ras Mohammed can be seen at the surface. There is one mooring here.
