France promotes Egyptian tourism

A 15- member delegation of SNAV, the French national syndicate of travel agencies, made up of high- ranking executives from various sectors of tourism industry, is due in Cairo tomorrow for a three- day visit, Hassan Behnam, the Director of UBIFRANCE  regional press office, has said.
 
Headed by Georges Colson, the President of the SNAV, the delegation includes he vice-President, the general- secretary as well as the deputy general secretary of the syndicate. The visitors will hold talks with several Egyptian public and private sectors on ways of increasing the flow of French tourists.
 
Meanwhile, Egypt will be represented at a seminar due to be held in Nice, France on March 1, entitled "New Horizons of Tourism Industry in the Euro-Mediterranean zone".
 
According to Behnam, the seminar, which will be organized by UBIFRANCE, the French agency for the promotion of enteprises, will bring together Egypt and several other countries from the Mediterranean Sea area. Including Lebanon, Morocco, Turkey, Tunisia, Syria and Malta.
 
The aim is to review the development strategies implemented by each country and examine promoting more inter-state coordination to attract larger numbers of tourists to the area .
