Tourist Authority won the first prize for the best tourist propaganda on the internet during a contest on the sidelines of the International Tourism Bourse (ITB) in Berlin, Germany. The contest was held on March 5 through 9. As many as 78 countries, including Egypt, vied for the trophy.

The prize was delivered to Hosed Za'azo'a, the first aide to the Minister of Tourism and the envoy of the ministry. The contest is held annually in the presence of world tourist specialist.
