During the activities of the Global Summit of Women, Microsoft launched on June 11, 2006, the Woman in Technology Initiative in cooperation with the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) to boost the woman in the Arab region in this domain.
The initiative is expected to provide opportunities for the woman in the Middle East to help promote her marketing skills. The program will be implemented in six Arab countries: Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi, Yemen and United Arab Emirates and it is expected to take place in other countries as well.
It is noteworthy to mention that one of the goals of the MEPI is to boost education and woman in the Arabic speaking countries and provide her with the telecommunication skills necessary for the labor market.
