Secretary General of the National Council for Women Dr. Farkhonda Hassan received on June 10, 2006 the banner of the Global Summit of Women for 2006 from Chief of the National Council in Mexico Mrs. Patricia Pastira.

 Dr. Farkhonda Hassan voiced the pride of the Egyptian women over the chairmanship of the summit for 2006 noting that Egypt would deliver it to Germany in the next summit in Berlin.
