Egypt, China discuss promoting military cooperation

Egypt's Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Mahmoud Hegazy met on Wednesday with China's deputy chief of staff Admiral Sun Jianguo and his accompanying delegation .
The meeting tackled promoting cooperation in the military field and a number of issues of mutual concern, said the spokesman for the Armed Forces said in a press release.
The Chinese official hailed as strong relations binding between Egypt and China.
He stressed the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between both countries in various fields.
He praised efforts exerted by the Egyptian Armed Forces to fight terrorism and to enhance security and stability in the Middle East.
Hegazy said that he is looking forward to enhancing cooperation in the military fields between both countries.
The meeting was attended by the army's top brass.
