Egyptian-German mission reveals new evidence on King "Nkhtnbo I" temple

The Egyptian-German Archaeological Mission managed to reveal new evidence for the existence of a temple of King "Nkhtnbo I", the founder of the 30th dynasty (about 380 -343 B.C), in Mataria district in the northern area of Greater Cairo.

In statements on Thursday, Dr. Mahmoud Afifi, the head of Egyptian Antiquities sector at the Antiquities Ministry, said a set of carved blocks and limestone and sandstone columns were discovered in Mataria district that was part of the ancient city of Heliopolis, one of the oldest cities of ancient Egypt.
