Ismail underlined the importance of family as a guarantee for a better future for the next generation.

He assigned the ministries and governmental bodies to include the population issue as part of their plans in order to implement the national population strategy.

The premier said it's important that the national population council participates in meetings of the council of governors.

He urged all media outlets to focus on the population issue to increase the public awareness about it.

The ministers of planning, health, youth, sports, social solidarity, culture and antiquities attended. The Mufti and the acting Cairo governor were also present.

Sherif said his government's program which was presented to the parliament point out to challenges that face the nation including the overpopulation with its repercussions on the society.

He cited that countries that achieved high economic growth and improved living standards of their citizens had at first to decrease the population growth rates.
