Egypt and China are discussing a proposal to establish a science and technology village specialized in the electronic research domain near Cairo Airport.
Egyptian Higher Education Minister Ashraf el-Shihi hailed the progress realized in Egyptian-Chinese cooperation in the education and scientific research domains.
In statements to the Middle East News Agency correspondent in Beijing during a visit to China on Thursday 18/08/2016, Shihi said the main goal of his visit is activating agreements in the educational and scientific research domains that were signed in March during a visit by Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong to Egypt.
There are five cooperation agreements signed between Egypt and China on educational cooperation. Under the agreements, Egypt will draw on the Chinese educational expertise especially in the fields of establishing and managing science and technology villages, he added.
