Sisi arrives in New York for UN General Assembly meetings

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived in New York on Sunday 18/9/2016 for a four-day visit, during which he will take part in the 71st session of the UN General Assembly.
He will also chair a meeting of the AU Peace and Security Council and a meeting of the Committee of the African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change.
Sisi is scheduled to grant several media interviews, including a TV interview with PBS channel and an interview with The Washington Post, to highlight Egypt's efforts to support regional States along with encouraging foreign investments in Egypt.
On Monday 19/9/2016, Sisi will deliver a speech at a high-level meeting on refugees and migrants.
On Tuesday 20/9/2016, the president will deliver a speech before the UNGA where he will address key domestic, regional and international issues which concern Egypt and the region.
On Wednesday 21/9/2016, Sisi will take part in the UNSC summit on the developments in the Middle East, especially in Syria and Libya.
On the fringe of the UNGA meetings, Sisi will hold important meetings with French President Francois Hollande, British Prime Minister Theresa May, Jordanian King Abdullah II and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as well as members of the US Senate and House.
Sisi will also meet with key members in the US Democratic and Republican parties as well as heads of major US companies.
