World condemns North Sinai terrorist attack

Twelve servicemen were killed and six others injured on Friday 14/10/2016 when an armed group attacked a military checkpoint in North Sinai.

Fifteen terrorists were also killed and others injured in a firefight with the army personnel in North Sinai. 

Several countries decried the despicable attack and confirmed their support to Egypt in its war against terrorism.

France decries Sinai terror attack; reiterates support for Egypt in combating terrorism

France condemned on Friday the terror attack that targeted a military checkpoint in North Sinai, leaving a number of Armed Forces personnel dead nad injured.

In a press release, French Foreign Ministry Spokesman Roman Nadal expressed his country’s condolences to the families of the victims, renewing solidarity with the Egyptian government and people in fighting terrorism.

British ambassador condoles with Egypt over martyrs of Sinai attack

British Ambassador to Egypt John Casson extended deep condolences to families of the Egyptian soldiers, who were killed on Friday in a terrorist attack in North Sinai. 

On his Twitter account, Casson also confirmed Britain's strong and unwavering support for Egypt against black terrorism.

Hungary stresses full support for Egypt's efforts in war against terrorism

The Hungarian government has underlined its full support and solidarity with efforts exerted by the Egyptian government, the army and security bodies in the war against terrorism.

Egypt's success serves the interests of all, Hungary said in a statement, distributed by its embassy in Cairo on Saturday.

Hungary also offered its sympathy with the families of the 12 soldiers, who were killed in the terrorist attack in Sinai on Friday and wished speedy recovery to the injured.

Yemen condemns Sinai terror attack

The Yemeni Foreign Ministry released a statement condemning the terror attack on a security checkpoint in North Sinai that took place on Friday.

In a statement, the ministry said such crimes have nothing to do with Islam or any other religion and all human values.

The statement affirmed Yemen's full support for Egypt and the measures it takes to confront violence and extremism.

The ministry called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility in uprooting terrorism worldwide. 

Saudi Arabia condemns N. Sinai terror attack

Saudi Arabia on Friday condemned the terror attack that took place on Friday in North Sinai and left several Egyptian servicemen dead and wounded.

A well-placed source at the Saudi Foreign Ministry extended condolences to the families of the Egyptian martyrs and the government, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
