Egypt participates in OIC ministerial meeting in Mecca

Egypt reiterated support for efforts exerted to reach political settlement to the Yemeni crisis and to fight Houthi militias and terrorist groups in the Arab country.
Cairo renewed this stance during a meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) foreign ministers, held in Mecca, to discuss the incident of firing a ballistic missile by the militias of Houthis and former president Ali Abdullah Saleh on the holy city of Mecca.
Leading Egypt’s delegation to the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister for Multilateral Affairs and International Security Hisham Badr reiterated Egypt’s condemnation of this attack against Saudi Arabia.
Egypt called for taking all necessary measures to prevent the repetition of such heinous attack, reiterating its firm stance on supporting the legitimate government of Yemen.
