Egypt extends relief assistance to victims of quake in Tanzania

Egypt has extended relief assistance to the victims of the Kagera earthquake in Tanzania, Egypt's Ambassador to Tanzania Yasser el Shawaf said on Thursday 08/12/2016.
In response to the devastating earthquake that hit the Kagera region in Northwestern Tanzania, Egypt provided more than 4.5 tons of medical substances and devices as well as tents, the ambassador said in a statement.
The $70,000 relief was received by the office of the Tanzanian prime minister, the statement added.
Tanzanian officials hailed Egypt's stance and support, el Shawaf noted.
