Egyptian stance on two-state solution clear

Friday، 17 February 2017 - 02:26 PM

Egypt is supporting the two-state solution to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.

Egypt's stance is clear in this respect, added Abu Zeid in press statements. There is an international consensus about the two-state solution, he said, adding that it meets the aspirations of the Palestinian people for establishing an independent State with Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as its capital.

Egypt will continue to hold contacts with regional and international parties in order to encourage the Palestinian and Israeli sides to resume negotiations, he added.
