Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar said on Thursday 20/04/2017 that terrorism targets the fabric of the State in a planned and organized way.
Abdel Ghaffar made the comments during his meeting with members of the parliament's human rights committee.
"Despite the big successes achieved by the army and police in the face of terrorist plots, the battle has not ended, and the Interior Ministry is determined to uproot terrorism," he said.
He offered condolences to the Egyptian people over the victims of two recent church attacks.
At least 44 people were killed in bombing attacks on two churches in the cities of Tanta and Alexandria on Palm Sunday.
"Egypt's Christian Copts are setting an example of patriotism that will be remembered in history," the minister said.
"The security situation in Sinai has become much better after recent security successes," he added.
