Egypt's Participation in US-Arab-Islamic Summit

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Saturday 13/5/2017 an invitation from Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz to attend the US-Arab-Islamic Summit due to open in Riyadh on May 21 with the participation of US President Donald Trump. Sisi received the invitation during a meeting in Cairo with Saudi Minister Essam bin Saeed.
The Saudi minister said Saudi Arabia is looking forward to Egypt's participation in the Summit, highlighting the depth of the strategic and historic ties binding the two States. The minister underlined Saudi Arabia's keenness on furthering ties at all levels and holding continued consultations with Egypt vis-à-vis the various regional issues.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is hosting leaders and representatives from across the Islamic world and the United States of America to meet for this historic meeting on May 20-21, 2017. United under a single vision – Together We Prevail – this highly anticipated event, the first of its kind in history, will renew our mutual commitment to global security and further strengthen already deep business, cultural and political ties.
The Summit will strengthen the historical ties through joint efforts of tolerance and cooperation, and the foundations that have set for a promising new start for a bright future for all.
Goals of the Summit
The Summit aims to unite the world's forces to combat extremism and terrorism. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is working together with the United States and the Islamic world for improving the living standards of the nation, strengthening their common economies and working with the principle of "tolerance and partnership uniting us and a common vision for the future is our path for success".

Following a royal tour of the Center, a traditional Saudi dinner will be served in honor of the Kingdom’s distinguished guest at the Murabba Palace.
