Investment Minister opens first LED lamps factory in South Sinai

Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr and South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda inaugurated on Saturday 19/08/2017 the first LED lamps factory in South Sinai.
The cost of the 1,000- square-meter factory stood at EGP 32 million.
The factory can provide up to 25,000 job opportunities for South Sinai residents.
Nasr also inspected on Saturday development works at el Tor fishing port, which aim to serve fishermen in the city and its neighboring areas.
The three-stage project is meant to renovate and upgrade the port.
Meanwhile, Fouda briefed Nasr on a project to set up a seawater desalination plant with a total capacity of 30,000 cubic meters. The project is implemented by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority.
Fouda also posted Nasr on an underway project of establishing a world medical center for medical tourism in Moses Spring area in South Sinai.
Meanwhile, Nasr inspected the EGP 50 million ministry-funded animal farm project, which is implemented by Misr El Kheir Foundation on an area of 30 feddans in the governorate.
The minister also visited the site of King Salman University project.
The 250-million-dollar university is funded by Investment Ministry and is carried out by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority.
On that score, Nasr lauded the efforts exerted by the authority in order to finalize the project as per its timeline.
Nasr was accompanied by Chairperson of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones Mona Zobaa in addition to a number of the governorate’s lawmakers.
