Cairo University's Central Library obtains ISO 9001/2008 for third time successively

President of Cairo University Mohamed Osman Al Khosht announced on Sunday that the New Central Library of Cairo University obtained ISO 9001/2008 certificate.
The certificate was obtained, according to recommendation of the International Committee for Quality Review, as a recognition of the active role of the Library as a cultural beacon in the university and an indicator for continuing its success in serving the university community of students and researchers, Al Khosht added.
Director of the Library Amany Refaat said that the Central Library is the first academic library to get ISO certificate in Egypt and the Middle East.
She confirmed that the library is considered one of the strongest academic libraries at the level of the whole Middle East, pointing out that the library provides the best librarian and knowledge services using the most recent modern means of technology.
The New Central Library of Cairo University obtained the ISO for the first time in 2015, then in 2016 for the second time, despite of the difficulty of evaluation criteria.
