Shoukry leads Egyptian delegation to OIC extraordinary summit in Istanbul

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head to Istanbul to participate in the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Shoukry will review the Egyptian stance rejecting the US decision as well as its consequences, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid on Monday.

He will also tackle the outcome of Egypt's contacts to curb the negative impact of the decision.
