Sisi endorses law to regulate use of UAVs

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Wednesday endorsed a law to regulate the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
Only the Defense Ministry is authorized to enforce articles of the law.
Under the law, persons who import, manufacture, assemble, trade, possess or use UAVs without a permit will receive jail sentences ranging between one and seven years and pay a fine of not less than 5,000 pounds and not more than 50,000 pounds, or either of the penalties.
In case the UAVs are used in a terror operation, those responsible can very well be sentenced to life in prison or worse, death, if the act resulted in the killing of any citizen.
