Wali: Egyptian youth trained on leadership, decision-making

Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali has said that Egypt exerts strenuous and effective efforts to qualify youth to enable them to take part in decision-making and assume leading positions.
Addressing a forum of the youth economic and social council in New York Thursday, Minister Wali said the Egyptians chose for the first time 30 percent of MPs under 45.
She said that Egypt established for the first time the national academy for training young government employees in cooperation with the biggest international academies for training youth.
She pointed out to the Egyptian presidential program which trained 2000 youth on leadership skills and is now training 500 more youth in various domains.
Minister Wali also pointed out that the state investments grew in mega projects such as roads, tunnels, the Suez Canal and housing.
