Sisi: New agricultural projects aim at providing Egyptians with agricultural products at suitable prices

Thursday، 08 February 2018 - 02:42 PM

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted that the new national agricultural projects, including the greenhouses project stretching over an area of 100,000 feddans in Marsa Matrouh, aim at providing the local Egyptian markets with agricultural products at suitable prices.

He asserted that the products of these projects will first provide for the needs of the local markets. And, he said, if there are any surpluses they will be exported.

Sisi's remark came during his inauguration of the 100,000-feddan-greenhouses project during a visit to Marsa Matrouh on Thursday 8/2/2018.

The President denied that the National Service Authority is trying to compete with the private sector by implementing mega agricultural projects.

He urged the private sector to benefit from these projects, saying that businessmen can rent some of the built greenhouses and start their own agricultural projects in the area.
