Egypt and Saudi Arabia have underlined the need for uprooting terrorism, eliminating all its organizations without exception in a comprehensive manner and confronting any quarters which support terrorism in any way. They expressed their determination to face up to the danger of extremism and terrorism in view of the threats it poses to peace and security in the region and throughout the world. Saudi Arabia expressed its full fledged support for successful Egyptian efforts to uproot terrorism within the framework of Sinai 2018 operation.

This came in a joint statement issued by Egypt and Saudi Arabia at the end of a three-day visit paid by Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman to Egypt.

The two countries expressed their commitment to work out an ambitious plan for developing the joint Arab action system and enhancing Arab potentials to confront increased threats to regional security and confronting foreign interferences in Arab countries domestic affairs

According to the statement, the two leaders expressed their satisfaction with the level of cooperation and coordination between the two sisterly countries and pressed for promoting bilateral relations at all levels to serve interests of the two countries' peoples.

They also stressed the need for making use of available investment opportunities and stepping up joint efforts to face common challenges.

President Sisi and the Saudi crown prince also tackled issues of mutual concern at the regional and international levels, as well as means to promote security and stability in the Middle East region and the world.

The two sides touched on means of maintaining Arab national security and protecting sovereignty of Arab states.

They reiterated their countries' support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to have an independent Palestinian state and urged a political settlement for the Syrian crisis based on UN resolutions.

Additionally, the two sides called for finding a peaceful solution for the Yemeni crisis and reiterated rejection of Iran's interference in the domestic affairs of Arab countries.

They also stressed their support for the political approach adopted by the UN to defuse the Libyan crisis.

The Egyptian side condemned the Houthi ballistic missile against Saudi Arabia and voiced solidarity with the kingdom to face any threat to its security.

The Saudi side, meanwhile, expressed support for the ongoing "Sinai 2018" military operation aimed to eradicate terrorism in North Sinai.

The Saudi side expressed its full support for Egypt's rights to the Nile water as a life artery for the life of the Egyptian people calling on all countries of the world not to endanger Egyptian security
