Shoukry probes bilateral relations, regional developments with UAE state minister

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Wednesday probed Egyptian-Emirati relations and the latest Arab and regional developments with Anwar Gargash, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the Arab League Council’s meeting at the level of Arab foreign ministers, according to foreign ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.

During the meeting, Shoukry praised the level of cooperation and coordination maintained by Cairo and Abu Dhabi regarding regional issues.

For his part, Gargash reaffirmed his country’s keenness on maintaining coordination with Egypt to help settle the crises in the Arab region.

According to the spokesman, both parties exchanged views on several issues, especially terrorism-combat, reaffirming the need to continue coordination in the face of Arab national security challenges.
