The Egyptian Foreign Ministry expressed deep condolences over the death of 39 Indian citizens whose remains were found in southwestern Mosul, Iraq, recently.
They were killed by the terrorist Daesh group in 2014.
A statement released by the ministry on Thursday 22/3/2018 underlined Egypt's strong denunciation of such heinous crime against Indian nationals and stressed Egypt's support to the Indian government and friendly people during this crisis.
The ministry expressed deep and sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
Such hateful crime adds to the criminal record of the terrorist group against unarmed civilians over the past years. It also underscores the credibility of Egypt's vision as regards the need to exert collective international efforts to dry up the sources of funding of this terrorist group and denying its elements any safe haven, according to the statement.
