Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Terence Spencer Nicholas Quick said he loves Egypt and feels secure in it more than in any other country in the whole world.
During his speech at a celebration to launch “Roots Revival” initiative in Alexandria on Monday 30/4/2018, the diplomat thanked and hailed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over inviting him to attend the event.
He hoped that the leaders of Egypt, Cyprus and Greece will gather in a great celebration to be organized in Greece and Cyprus.
He also thanked Immigration and Expatriates Affairs Minister Nabila Makram over her efforts to launch the initiative.
The initiative is meant to enhance historical relations binding together Egypt, Greece and Cyprus and revive tourism for the Greek and Cypriot communities that used to live in Egypt during previous times.
The initiative aims at organizing visits for Greek and Cypriot nationals to areas where these communities had lived and linking the new generations of these communities to the Egyptian civilization.
The "Roots Revival" initiative was launched by Sisi during his visit to Cyprus in November 2017.
