Sisi directed officials to continue development, establishment of oil infrastructure

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed to continue efforts aiming at delivering natural gas to houses in order to enhance the standard of living of citizens, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
This came during the president’s meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and Petroleum Minister Tarek El Molla.
Sisi also called for continuing the development and establishment of oil and natural gas infrastructure.
During the meeting, Molla noted that natural gas was delivered to 8.6 million housing units. He also reviewed a report on the exploratory drilling used to find oil and natural gas nationwide as well as the number of wells planned to be dug in Egypt in 2018.
The minister also reviewed the projects implemented by the Arab Petroleum Pipelines Company (SUMED) and Assiut Oil Refining Company (ASORC) within the ministry’s plan to develop the infrastructure of the energy sector in Egypt.
