Higher Education Ministry prioritizes opening branches for foreign universities in Egypt

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said on Sunday 20/5/2018 that his ministry attaches great importance to the establishment of branches for foreign universities in Egypt.

The minister highlighted state's seriousness toward that approach as well as its efforts to be a hub for investment in the higher education field in the region.

"The new administrative capital is the perfect place for the establishment of branches of foreign universities," the minister said while receiving a host of investors.

"The new capital would be a hub for education and scientific research in the Middle East, amid a quantum leap witnessed by many fields in Egypt."

Abdel Ghaffar pointed out the law on the establishment of branches for foreign universities has been referred to the State Council ahead of submitting it to the House of Representatives for approval.
