President Sisi directs officials to develop transport system nationwide

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed officials to continue efforts of developing transport system in Egypt and fostering its capabilities, pointing out to the importance of transport sector and its direct effect on daily life.
These remarks came on Tuesday during Sisi's meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Transport Minister Hesham Arafat, Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Rady said.
The president ordered to take all the required measures to boost safety standards of railways and further depend on the modern electronic systems in parallel with supporting human capabilities as well as continuing the steps of developing the national roads network nationwide according to the fixed time.
The meeting touched on reviewing the executive situation of the National Roads Project and efforts meant to upgrade roads and bridges network to guarantee improving of transportation services and boosting the infrastructure, added Rady.
For his part, Arafat briefed the developments of work at the new road and bridges ventures in all governorates, particularly governorates of Upper Egypt in addition to developments of improving railways system.
The strategy of developing shipping industry, which includes upgrading the efficiency of the state's ports and expanding in the logistics activities related to ports and surrounding industrial zones to increase the competitiveness of the Egyptian ports in order to lure more investments.
