Deputy Finance Minister Ahmed Kojak said on Wednesday 20/6/2018 that the cabinet discussed during its meeting the financial allocations for the 2018/2019 state budget, which were previously approved by the House of Representatives.

The allocations included a 7-percent increase in the annual bonus payments in addition to another 10-percent bonus. The salaries also surged EGP 22 billion, serving some 5 million employees, he added.

Speaking at a press conference at the Cabinet’s headquarters, Kojak revealed three programs at the new state budget that aim to maintain social justice.

The first program includes developing hospitals and providing medicine for the needy, while the second one tackles delivering gas to houses at a total cost of EGP 3.5 billion, he noted.

Kojak also unveiled that the third program focuses on EGP 100 billion investments, of which a sum of EGP 3 billion is allocated for industrial development. The funds are used for upgrading infrastructure and providing jobs and improving services to the public, he added.
