Ismailia Governor Yassin Taher inaugurated on Thursday a new Chinese technological faculty at the Suez Canal University in the presence of the university’s president, Mamdouh Ghorab, and the dean of Beijing Information Technology College.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Taher said the new faculty aims to provide efficient workers for the Suez Canal zone, where there are multiple investments emerging from the Suez Canal Development Corridor.
The faculty is set to provide a unique educational system in Egypt that links the industry requirements to the education outcome, he added.
Meanwhile, the president of the Suez Canal University said some 70 students from the university were dispatched to Beijing Information Technology College in 2014, as per an agreement between the two institutions to train 1,157 Egyptian students at the Chinese college.
