Petroleum Minister to participate in OPEC meetings in Austria

Friday، 22 June 2018 - 01:41 PM

Petroleum Minister Tarek el Mulla will take part, representing Egypt as an observer, in the 4th joint ministerial meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC oil-producing countries, slated to be held in the Austrian capital, Vienna, on Saturday.

The ministerial meeting will be held as a part of the 174th ordinary OPEC meeting.

Egypt's participation in OPEC meetings comes at the invitation of the global organization after Egypt's participation in OPEC 173rd ministerial meeting, which was held last November, Minister Mulla said in a statement issued on Friday 22/06/2018.

On the sidelines of the meeting, one-on-one meetings will be held with a host of OPEC and non-OPEC petroleum and energy ministers to boost economic relations and strengthen cooperation.

The unprecedented cooperation witnessed between oil-producing countries recently, whether they are members of OPEC or not, contributed to gradually restore the oil market balance, the minister noted.
