During June 2018, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi sworn in for second Presidential term, who insisting on achieving the impossible in order to get through Egypt to safety, create a better future for all its citizens, achieve Egypt's development goals and overcome many of the challenges facing the country.

President Sisi directed the new government to achieve the highest degree of cooperation and coordination between all ministries and State agencies to contribute to the optimal implementation of the programs and plans of the government.

On the external level, the President received many foreign officials as part of Egypt's keenness to continue working on developing its balanced relations with various countries of the world.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived at the venue of the House of Representatives in downtown Cairo to take the constitutional oath before the parliament for a second term in office.

Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal, Parliament's Undersecretaries, Mahmoud el Sherif and Soliman Wahdan alongside Parliament Secretary General Ahmed Saad Eldin were on hand to receive Sisi upon his arrival.

President's meetings with officials

June 3: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, and Housing Minister Mustafa Madbouli where they discussed the latest developments in the under construction new cities nationwide.

June 5: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi praised the important role played by the Egyptian diplomacy in defense of Egypt's interests abroad. During a meeting with a number of ambassadors nominated to serve as heads of Egypt's diplomatic missions abroad, President Sis said the Egyptian diplomats are capable of conveying the civilized image of Egypt and its great history to the world.

June 7: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi assigned Housing Minister in the caretaker government Moustafa Madbouli to form the new government.

June 13: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has stressed the importance of taking all needed measures to improve Egypt's economic indices and maintain its monetary stability. During a meeting with Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Tareq Amer who reviewed Egypt's overall economic performance and shed light on the policies adopted by the CBE to give a push to the Egyptian economy.

June 14: A new Egyptian government led by Moustafa Madbouli was sworn in before President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

June 14: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called for drawing up a schedule to give the former ministers enough time to hand over their ministries' files to their successors. The planned schedule will help in a smooth transfer and a better follow up of the ministries' strategy and project files, he said.

June 14: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received former defense minister and commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces Sedqi Sobhi. The President offered sincere thanks to him and heaped praise on his tremendous efforts and devotion throughout the past period to counter terrorism and maintain stability across the country.

June 14: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received former minister of interior Magdy Abdel Ghafar and extended thanks to Abdel Ghafar for the great efforts he exerted over the past period of time to enhance security and stability as well as provide needed protection for citizens. During the meeting that was attended by newly-appointed Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq Abdel Gawad, Sisi wished him success in fulfilling duties of his new post.

June 14: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with former defense minister Sedqi Sobhy and former minister of interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar in addition to newly appointed Defense Minister Lt. General Mohamed Zaki and Interior Minister major General Mahmoud Tawfiq Abdel Gawwad. In press statements, Sisi lauded the distinguished cooperation and coordination between the Armed Forces and police to combat terror and maintain national security and stability. During the meeting, Sisi praised police and Armed Forces personnel for all the efforts they exert to serve the homeland asserting that the Egyptian people greatly appreciate their sacrifices to spread security and peace in the country.

June 19: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Minister of Defense and Military Production and Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Lt. General Mohamed Zaki.

June 19: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed officials to continue efforts of developing transport system in Egypt and fostering its capabilities, pointing out to the importance of transport sector and its direct effect on daily life. These remarks came during Sisi's meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Transport Minister Hesham Arafat.

June 24: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed to take all measures required to develop education system according to the latest international standards. This came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Education Minister Tarek Shawky.

June 26: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government to precisely count the assets of the public business sector's companies to optimize the sector's contribution to the national economy. This came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Public Business Sector Minister Hisham Tawfiq.

June 26: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called on the government to go ahead with plans to establish integrated industrial cities, topped by Roubiki Leather City and the Damietta Furniture City. Sisi made the remarks during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Trade and Industry Minister Amr Nassar. The president called for continuing efforts to promote the industrial sector in Egypt as one of the most important pillars of the national economy.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended celebrations of Eidul Fitr with the families of the nation's martyrs. The President welcomed the martyrs' children and families telling them he was waiting to meet them on this day. The President honored the children of the nation's martyrs from the Armed Forces and police. President Sisi had breakfast with the families of the martyrs and then joined the children to the playing ground.

Foreign officials

June 3: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with Salah Qosh, head of Sudanese National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS), at the presidential palace in Cairo. Qosh convoyed to Sisi the congratulations of the Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir on the occasion of Sisi's new presidential term. The meeting touched on the strong bilateral ties between Egypt and Sudan and ways of fostering them in light of the current regional challenges.

June 6: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed Egypt's keenness on continuing coordination with Saudi Arabia to settle regional issues and confront terrorism. During a meeting with Saudi Minister of State for African Affairs Ahmed al Qattan, Sisi hailed strategic and deeply-rooted relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

June 9: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held talks with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali on the latest developments of the Renaissance Dam file and they both agreed on adopting a joint vision based on each country’s respect to the development rights of the other and ensuring that this right does not harm the other’s interests.

June 10: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that the investments with Ethiopia would be boosted, adding that all possible facilities were provided for that purpose. Sisi’s remarks came in a press conference with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali at Ittihadiya Palace in Heliopolis.

June 12: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted that Egypt would continue its efforts aimed at preventing any further deterioration of the situation in Syria along with maintaining the rights of the Syrian people and their interests based on the firm stances of preserving the unity of the Syrian territories. The President's remarks were made during his meeting with United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Acting Intelligence Chief Abbas Kamel and Deputy of the UN Envoy Ramzy Ezz Eldin.

June 21: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called for abiding by the set timetable for developing the country's giant Zohr gas field to increase its production rates. Sisi's call came during a meeting with Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi.

June 21: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated Egypt's keenness on developing strategic relations with the US in light of the current instability in the Middle East region. During his meeting with US President Donald Trump's senior adviser Jared Kushner and US Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt.

June 25: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated keenness on standing by Iraq and developing bilateral cooperation in all domains. Sisi made the remarks during his meeting with Iraqi Vice President Ayad Allawi in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and acting Intelligence chief Abbas kamel.

June 27: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated Egypt's keenness on promoting trade and economic cooperation with China and luring more Chinese investments in light of the different investment opportunities provided under the ongoing economic reform program. Sisi gave the remarks during his meeting with member of the political bureau of the central committee of the Chinese Communist Party Chen Min'er.

June 27: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with Chairman for the Strategic Council of the EuroAfrica Interconnector Loannis Kasoulides. They discussed means of boosting bilateral cooperation in the field of electricity interconnection. During the meeting, the President hailed strategic relations between Egypt and Cypriot in all fields and praised the implementation of several electricity projects in Egypt, topped by the power stations recently established by the German Siemens company to add 14,000 megawatts to Egypt's national grid.

June 28: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted the importance of continuing consultations and coordination between Egypt and France on various regional and international issues of mutual concern, especially those threatening the Middle East and Mediterranean regions as well as the whole world. This came during Sisi’s meeting with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.
