Dar Al Ifta lauds decision of European Parliament to set int'l day to remember terrorism victims

The Observatory for monitoring the takfiri fatwas and extremist ideologies at Dar al Ifta lauded the approval of the European Parliament to set an international day annually commemorating the victims of Daesh and Qaeda all over the world.

In a statement on Tuesday 10/7/2018, the observatory said that the decision reflects the vision of the European Parliament to achieve stability and security in the face of terrorist threats at the different levels.

It also reflects the supporting stance of the parliament to adopt effective policies to stand against terrorist organizations, the observatory said.

The observatory called for intensifying international and regional efforts to boost security to face and eradicate terrorism.

The European Parliament approved a resolution proposed by the Iraq embassy at the EU to set an international day to commemorate the victims of Daesh and Qaeda, Spokesman of the Iraq Foreign Ministry Ahmed Mahjoub said.
