Antiquities Ministry official inspects archaeological units at Cairo Airport

Head of the Ancient Egyptian Antiquities Sector Ayman Ashmawy on Thursday 09/08/2018 inspected the archaeological units center at Cairo airport.
This comes as part of the Antiquities Ministry's plan to develop the operating system at all 44 archaeological units at air, sea and land outlets.
In a statement, Ashmawy said his inspection tour aims at following up workflow at all units and determining problems facing workers.
He clarified that he will inspect during the coming period the rest of archaeological units in Greater Cairo, Alexandria and Damietta.
For his part, head of the Central Administration of Seized Antiquities Units at the Ministry of Antiquities Hamdy Hamam revealed an urgent plan to solve all problems facing workers at all air, land and sea points across the nation.
The plan focuses on increasing the number of specialists in restoration of monuments, providing training courses for staffers to enhance their efficiency, in addition to keeping workers up-to-date with information in the field of detecting fake artifacts, he added.
