Egyptian medical convoy arrives in Sudan's Kassala

An Egyptian medical convoy arrived in Sudanese province of Kassala within the framework of solidarity of Egyptians with the Sudanese peoples.

The convoy includes humanitarian aid provided by Egypt to Sudan upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

In statements to MENA correspondent, Egypt's Ambassador to Sudan Osama Shaltout said that the aid was sent upon directives of President Sisi to enable the Arab country to encounter the consequences of floods and heavy rains that hit a number of provinces within the framework of the unique ties binding the two nations.

The convoy and aid represent a message of love and solidarity of the Egyptian leadership and people to the Sudanese nation.

Sudan praised the humanitarian initiative by Sisi, the diplomat underlined, adding that the move reflects unity of the two peoples.

The convoy, which groups a galaxy of doctors, arrived in Kassala to offer needed medical care to the Sudanese people, Shaltout affirmed.
