Speech of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in the Press Conference with President of Uzbekistan

Mr. President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan,
It gives me great pleasure, that within this visit that is teemed with all feelings of friendship that reflects depth of relations between our friend countries, to thank Mr. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, and the Uzbek government and people for their warm hospitality that have left in ourselves good memories for you and your hospitable people.
This visit was concluded with signing several agreements that will undoubtedly contribute to a worthy rapprochement between two great countries and two decent peoples that have long been brought together through the periods of history that have witnessed their common interest in science and merged the identities of the two peoples in defense of lofty principles.
I discussed with His Excellency President Mirziyoyev the rapprochement between the two states concerning their economic reform experiences as well as the mega projects, which Egypt has established recently and Egypt's New Investment Law; in addition to the cooperation in the fields of energy and Egypt's willingness to cooperate with Uzbekistan in the field of automotive industry.
We, also, discussed means of enhancing tourism and the cultural exchange between the two countries. Moreover, we assured the necessity of enhancing the economic relations between the two sides to match the level of the bilateral political relations. We, also, discussed boosting military and security cooperation, counter terrorism and extremism.
Dear President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev
I would like to assert my aspiration that this visit will be a beginning for closer political, economic and cultural relations between Egypt and Uzbekistan. I confidently affirm that the governments and peoples of the two countries will proceed to make these relations closer and stronger.
In conclusion, Mr. President, I would like to reiterate my thanks to the people and government of Uzbekistan and I extend again my thanks and appreciation to my brother President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his hospitality and extend my invitation for him to visit Egypt to complete our efforts in realizing what we have agreed upon for the welfare of the Egyptian and the Uzbek brotherly peoples.
