Public Prosecutor Nabil Sadek asserted on Tuesday 18/9/2018 Egypt's keenness on combating organized crime and smuggling of migrants through joining several international and regional agreements in this respect.
It is necessary for world nations to cooperate legally to confront and fight human trafficking and smuggling of migrants, he added.
Addressing the opening session of the 1st international conference of Africa Prosecutors Association, held for three days, Sadek, who is the association's vice president, said human trafficking criminals use modern technology which should be confronted to prevent the spread of such crimes through cooperation and exchanging expertise.
Egypt has drawn up a strategy to combat organized crime and smuggling of migrants through cooperation and coordination among the various Egyptian ministries to offer all assistance and services to the victims to guarantee their safety, he said.
The Internet and other swift means of communication have helped these criminal organizations in contacting each other and therefore world nations should be one step ahead in order to fight these crimes, he added.
