PM says gov't adamant to go ahead with economic reforms

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted on Thursday that the government is determined to go ahead with the economic reform program to achieve economic and social development.


The government, also, seeks to enhance the efficiency of work in the different sectors and rationalize its expenditure, he said in a weekly cabinet meeting.


During the meeting, the premier underlined that the government is committed to all economic programs, notably a program to list a number of the public business sector companies on the Egyptian stock exchange.


Madbouli directed the ministers to ease investment measures of productive projects, and granting all necessary approvals in this regard.


He stressed the importance of following up such approach in offering logistic areas or agricultural, animal or poultry projects, with increasing cooperation among different ministries for the rapid issuance of these approvals.


The prime minister ordered the ministers to accelerate preparing the file of projects expected to be put forward to investors.


On this score, Madbouli said the Investment Ministry does its best to promote investment projects.


For his part, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait suggested a special investment unit to be set up in each ministry to solve the problems of investors.


In a related context, Investment Minister Sahar Nasr asserted the tangible cooperation between the ministries of finance and industry has contributed to settling many problems of investors.


The premier called on various ministries to pay great attention to promoting and developing electronic services to be used by citizens.
