Sisi urges concerted efforts to boost joint Arab action

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on  Sunday 23/9/2018 unprecedented developments in the Arab region require concerted efforts to foster the joint Arab action and face attempts to interfere into the Arab countries' internal affairs. 

Sisi's remarks came during his meeting with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in New York in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel. 

During the meeting, Sisi commended distinguished relations and strategic partnership binding the two countries, stressing Egypt's interest in developing them in various domains, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said. 

For his part, the UAE top diplomat lauded his country's ties with Egypt, asserting the importance of enhancing cooperation in a way serving the interests of the two brotherly peoples, Radi noted. 

Abu Dhabi is eager to continue intensive consultation and coordination with Cairo to cope with all challenges and dangers faced by the region, topped by terrorism, the UAE minister affirmed. 

The meeting also tackled Arab and regional issues of common concern in addition to the topics set to be discussed at the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, the spokesman said.
