SIS issues book on Sisi's diplomacy during 1st presidential term

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has during his first presidential term, paid 79 visits to 39 countries, and held 663 meetings with visiting foreign officials, the State Information Service has said.


All these activities have aimed at achieving Egypt's national interests of security, stability, progress and capacity-building in all fields and contributing to the stability and prosperity of the region and the world, it said in a book it released entitled "Sisi and the World".


The book presents a qualitative and quantitative analysis of President Sisi's activities over the past four years particularly from June 8, 2014 to June 7, 2018.


It speaks of his diplomatic engagements - with whom, when, where and how many times.


It lists in detail the various regions, countries and international agencies he visited, the conferences he attended, the summits and meetings he had with various officials, military and religious figures and the media.


The book says he paid 37 visits to various countries, 25 visits to the Arab region, 19 to Africa, attended 28 international and regional conferences, visited four geographic areas, with Asia being in the forefront, had 144 summit meetings at home and abroad, 18 of which were with the Palestinian president, 84 meetings with foreign ministers, 74 meetings with parliamentary delegations, 70 meetings with CEOs of multinational companies, 53 meetings with army leaderships and ministers, 42 international agency officials, 22 meetings with religious figures and 24 meetings with the media.
